Last night we became witnesses to history. Great history.
I am a little excited, a little inspired and looking forward to seeing what this man can do. I don't know why, I'm not American. I didn't follow the campaign really. And I don't particularly care for politics, but this man is something. I watched his victory speech last night and even though I switched the channel half was through (hey, 90210 was on) I did see the beginning and the end. What a humble man and a powerful speaker. I found myself emotional over the words he said.
Why can't we have this kind of excitement in Canada from our leaders?
Why can't we get this kind of amazing voter turn out in Canada?
I said to Sean today, look at how a lot of Canadians are feeling about this man. I can only imagine what it would be like as an American.
So many Canadians wished we could vote for Obama. Were they the same who lined up last month to vote for our new leader or who will line up in 2 weeks to vote for our town leaders?
I love what this man represents to so many. I hope he will be a great leader. I feel hopeful that he will do a great job and be a great roll model for many, no matter the country they come from.

I found it really awesome as well. Covered my eyeballs with a few tears.
